Hot chips, go for it. Especially hill sprints. An 80% effort, stop when you are no longer accelerating. This is a great book! I wonder how feasible to use AXE style programming for sprints and running
James, there are great many legit programming alternatives but I suggest that you stick to the plan as laid out for many months.@Pavel what are your thoughts on starting AXE w/2HSW sets of 4... ->6 but instead of recycling over w/heavier weight you go to 1HSW (obviously harder) & start the process 2-4-6/10-30 etc
I also regret typing out my workouts because I'm sure they gave you heart palpitations lol.
I do not have a heart, thus, no palpitations.
I was trying to maximize my 44kg bell that's why I was asking about making it harder via variation vs buying a 48kg bell was all I've about milked my 40kg bell@james_1127 maybe try the program before looking to change it...
Thank you, Jose Manuel.Great book in my opinion, Pavel! I'm thinking to run it twice per week plus two days of push, pull & deadlift and one day of LISS cardio.
The answer is in the book.I just wonder why are the H2H and 1H swings preferred over the 2H swings.
James, trust the program or change at your own risk. ;]I was trying to maximize my 44kg bell that's why I was asking about making it harder via variation vs buying a 48kg bell was all I've about milked my 40kg bell
Understood, I'm already doing 5s OTM KBSF swing protocol w/the 40kgJames, there are great many legit programming alternatives but I suggest that you stick to the plan as laid out for many months.
make sure to dig into the Underload Phase. Make sure you continue your step load till your RPE is falling clearly into the 6-7 range. I imagine that'll take a good amount of time.Understood, I'm already doing 5s OTM KBSF swing protocol w/the 40kg
I was just seeing how I could move up to 44kg & milk it longer
Xene, the same.Pavel, does anything change in the reps or the total volume if you do snatches instead of swings? Still 2-4-6?
Sir, it is great to see you in the forum. May I ask if there a guidance or principle that you might share with us about how to decide on the length of the focus blocks? How can we decide how long we should focus to 1-2 goals and then change the focus? Let’s say are we talking about two week blocks? Are we talking about 6 week blocks? Are we talking about two separate blocks or can someone even have three different blocks?
3letterslong, no matter what your goals are, always start with minimalism, then add according to your needs.
Generally speaking, when pursuing multiple goals, it is best to focus on 1-2 at a time and maintain the rest with easy once a week sessions. Then change the focus.
